Speaker:Hi, I'm Rob Carver, author of the book, 366 Days of Tennis,
Speaker:a tip a day to improve your game.
Speaker:And today I got a great tip that's going to help you with something that happens to every tennis player.
Speaker:You just called your opponent shot out and they immediately complain.
Speaker:Rather than getting into an argument with your opponent,
Speaker:just validate their concerns.
Speaker:And at the same time you're going to squash them and move on to the next point.
Speaker:Here's what you say when they raise an objection about your call.
Speaker:You say, "Hey listen, I'm sure from where you are that shot looks in,
Speaker:but from where I am I can tell that the ball is clearly out."
Speaker:And just calmly walk to your position to start the next point.
Speaker:All right? Have a great day. Hang tough.
