Speaker:Hello everyone, this is Nathan from FirstServeUniversity.com, your tactical specialist here to give you advice on how
Speaker:to win more matches.
Speaker:Today let's talk more about the serve and having variety.
Speaker:One of the most common mistakes that servers make is they don't mix it up enough.
Speaker:And I'm not just talking about switching from your wide serve to your body serve to your
Speaker:T-serve.
Speaker:I'm talking about playing with the pace and your position.
Speaker:As far as pace is concerned, sometimes throwing a kick serve on the first serve, throwing
Speaker:a slice down the tee, throwing a hard serve out wide.
Speaker:Instead of the slice serve, and then also adjust your position on the baseline.
Speaker:Sometimes staying really close to the hash mark, sometimes staying close to the alley.
Speaker:Like a good pitcher and baseball.
Speaker:You never give the same pitch over and over again.
Speaker:All that does is give them practice over the match until they start to get used to it and
Speaker:then start to hit good returns.
Speaker:So next time you're in a match, make sure that you use a lot of variety and see how you
Speaker:start to win more easy points.
Speaker:This is Nathan from FirstServeUniversity.com here to give you advice on how to win more matches.
