Wheelchair Tennis & Run/Roll
The Wheelchair league attracts players of all levels from all over the metropolitan area. Open to men and women 16 and older, the league plays Tuesdays in spring and fall out of a centrally located tennis facility. Each season lasts seven weeks followed by City Finals. The number of teams and number of lines played per team varies depending on how many players are registered each season. Players are matched against others of comparable ability, which allows for a competitive and fun tennis environment.
Details
Includes all levels. Wheelchair players follow the rules of tennis. The only difference is they are allowed two bounces. Many of the wheelchair players first experience tennis through one of the seasonal wheelchair clinics sponsored by The ALTA Foundation.
