Bull Shark Sports: 2024 Winter Session Mondays: Tennis Practice & Play – Ages 5 – 8

Description

Mondays 3:15 – 4:00 pm. January 8th – February 26th. Designed to be a 5-week session with the last week considered a Make-Up for any rained out or canceled practices. There are no practices on January 16th or February 19th due to Martin Luther King, Jr Day and President’s Day. If multiple rain-outs occur, additional make-up days will be added. If a child misses a practice during the session, they are welcome to make up on a different day of their same age group. Simply notify Coach Ben when doing so. Participation priority will be given to members of Briarcliff Woods Beach Club. Focus is on a positive introduction to tennis and improving each child’s ability to track the ball, self-feed the ball into play, and a foundational set of rally skills. Modified equipment and progressive teaching methods are used, and each lesson is built using a progression-regression approach to fit the needs of each player within the overall group. Differentiation is also used so parents may see children doing different activities than others as the coach selects appropriate activities for the skill set of each child.
